Roof Restoration

This project showcases the complete transformation of a 35-year-old Colorbond roof brought back to life using the Dulux Acratex Roof Membrane System. Over three decades of exposure to the harsh Australian elements had left the original roof faded, chalky, and weathered with nearly all its original coating disintegrated. The roof zincalume was amazingly still going strong and structurally sound and ready for a second life.

Using the premium Dulux Roof Membrane System, we delivered a high-performance, long-lasting finish that not only rejuvenates the appearance but also enhances durability and UV protection. The process involved:

• Thorough cleaning with high-pressure water blasting to remove dirt, lichen, and oxidization
• Surface preparation including rust treatment and spot priming where necessary
• Application of Dulux Roof Primer to ensure optimal adhesion and sealing
• Two coats of Dulux Roof Membrane, a flexible, high-build coating designed to withstand extreme weather and resist fading

The result is a vibrant, modern finish that restores the roof’s original integrity while extending its lifespan for years to come. This restoration not only improves curb appeal but also adds value and protection to the home.
